A native of Central California Alexis Cormier has played on High School and Collegiate Levels. She attended Edison High School in Fresno, CA where she received all-league honors all 4 years and has played for numerous club teams throughout Northern and Southern California (Sierra Pacific (Reedly), Griffin San Jose (San Jose) and Kern River (Bakersfield)).
After graduating High School Alexis attended California State University, Northridge on a full scholarship from 1998-2002 were she was starting Outside Hitter all 4 years earning all conference honors while setting the Universities career record in digs.
Alexis began coaching volleyball during her sophomore year in college with West Coast Volleyball Club (Thousand Oaks, CA). After re-locating to the Southbay Alexis joined the Mizuno Long Beach Coaching staff and will be coaching in her in her 7th season. Alexis had headed the 14 gold, 14 blue, 15 gold and 17 gold teams. Alexis specializes in technical skills in all areas of the game such as passing, defense, serving and hitting.
